AT A GLANCE
  • Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Samagra Gram Vikas Yojna has been implemented vide G.O. dated 17-05-2012 to ensure basic amenities in the most backward revenue villages of Uttar Pradesh.

  • The main objective of this scheme is to bring these most backward revenue villages, which are lagging behind in infrastructure development such as Link Roads, Rural Electrification, Availability of Potable water, Sanitary Latrines, etc., into mainstream of development by providing these infrastructure facilities.

  • Under Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Samagra Gram Vikas Scheme, 10,000 Revenue Villages are targeted for development in five years. About 1600 villages were selected in first year i.e. 2012-13 and then 2100 village in each year for remaining four years i.e. 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16 & 2016-17 are to be selected.

  • A total of 33 Infrastructure and Beneficiary oriented progrmmes of 18 Departments are being implemented in these villages.

  • Hon'ble  Minister  In-charge of each District is authorized to select Revenue Villages at district level.

  • To ensure the benefits of developments to minority community, from 2014-15, 20% villages being selected in each district are such which have a minority population of more than 25%.
